12/28/2003: "Ordering pre-streched canvases"

I still haven't ordered any pre-streched canvases from Dick Blick. They have a special, 40 percent off or something like that, until Dec. 31st. I'm not sure why I'm being so crazed about it, I normally build my own so I guess I'm worried that the prestreched ones won't offer enough clearance between the edge of the strecher frame and the canvas. I hate it when the canvas touches the frame and produces a tell tell line. I can't tell from the images on their website if the frames have a lip or not. Does anyone have any recommendations for a good prestreched canvas? If so, please drop me a line.

Hi again Jimi,
Christmas went great. I'm not used to being around so many people and young children so I tend to stay up really late and night (like 5-6am) and then sleep in, as to reduce my overall exposure.

Still, it was great being with my family and spending time with my dad and grandparents.

Now that I'm home, it's back to painting!
