09/06/2004: "Double Digit Depression"

Friday I cut out of work early to meet up with some friends at the Hangar on the Wharf for a couple of beers (waiting for the First Friday art gallery walk to start). I got over-stimulated...socially speaking and came home before I had a chance to make it to any galleries (and I didn't leave the house again for the entire 3-day weekend).

I've decided to contact the guy at KTOO and ask him if it's too late for him to find a different artist for the December gallery date. Making that decision took some weight off my shoulders...it came right back from watching the horrible images out of Russia, the Hurricane coverage, marines being killed in Iraq, Zell Miller challenging Chris Matthews to a Duel....not to mention the pudits discussing the latest presidential polls showing Bush in a double digit lead. I'm so depressed. I have this horrible horrible sinking feeling inside; I think it's hopelessness. I can't take 4 more years. Seriously. Save us Jeebus!

Double digits? That's depressing, what with all the fixing it looks like the moron will be around another while yet... :doze:

Two polls (Time and Newsweek) showed the exact same results directly following the RNC, an 11 point spread. The latest CNN shows a 7 point spread. I woke up this morning thinking that I wasn't going to let it get to me. There are 56 days until the election and a lot can still happen.
