03/01/2006: "I'm baaaaaaaaaaaaaack! (sorta)"

I went back to work today but now I'm so behind in everything I just want to go back to sleep.

I'd love to start painting again too but I get nauseated just thinking about it. I've had this one painting on my main working easle for around 3 weeks now. I haven't done any work on it in so long I'm starting to get used to what it looks like as a line drawing.... Maybe replacing it with a new panel will help me get over my latest funk? (that and some vitamin C)

Sometimes, I can't look at a piece that's been started, but put down long enough to lose the flow. I have a few things in various cupboards that were never finished. But I never forget they are there.

Hi Jackie, "losing the flow" with a piece is a nice way of looking at it. I haven't given up on it yet (and it isn't boring Julie...geesh!) I just lost the flow in general and I think I've started seeing it as a 2-d thing.

As for ways to suck up lots of extra time...are you high girl?!!! I have ZERO extra time. Right now I'm trying to finish a CD for my class that needs to be in the mail by tomorrow or Friday at the latest and it's not going so well.

Why is it that losing just a couple days at the office can put us weeks behind?
