12/09/2003: "Possession"

I started reading A.S. Byatt's Possession today. It's so good. It will give me something to do while I lay in bed for the next couple of days. I'm already so bored I want to cry. I watched The Wizard of OZ on TIVO this afternoon and I was struck with a line by Glenda, the beautiful Good Witch. She said: "only evil witches are ugly". What's up with that?
