12/19/2003: "Home again Home again Jiggidy Jig"

It's late, at least here in Nebraska it is. I just made it back after two days of traveling. Three planes, an overnight in Denver and a four hour car ride. My back has been causing me a great deal of pain and I'm afraid I may not be the best company at the moment. I wonder if it's a coincidence that I watched the movie Frida only a week or so before I hurt my back. I keep thinking of that horrible looking contraption she had to wear. I know that by comparison my suffering has been negligible...still...all I want in this world is for the pain to stop, even for a little while...so I can think clearly again.
