05/05/2004: "Dead Ravens...sign full of portent?"

Driving to work this morning I noticed three dead ravens. Two on the side of the road as I drove from downtown Douglas to the bridge, and another on the bridge. Now, prior to this I can't remember ever seeing a dead raven by the side of the road. It made me think of movies like (and I'm embarrassed to admit I watched this...The Core...check out the review from one of my all-time favorite sites, Bad Astronomy) in the film pigeons lost their navigational abilities from the magnetic poles shifting and end up flying around Trafalgar Square slamming into stuff and dropping dead out of the sky.

Anyway, it made me think of that.

So in the next couple of days I'll be on the lookout for more signs so stayed tuned, the poles could be shifting even now! (on the positive side we'd have some real kick ass northern lights up here).
